Today, Wednesday (April 16, 2025), 25 students from Ahvaz University of Medical Sciences suffered food poisoning after eating at the university cafeteria—a disturbing incident that once again highlights the clear failure and weak oversight of student nutrition. The affected students were taken to medical centers with symptoms of poisoning and were discharged after receiving outpatient treatment.
This chain of poisonings is no longer just a welfare crisis; it is an organized crisis stemming from systemic incompetence, in which both the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Health are complicit through their silence.
