
Recently, the verdict against Ali Gholami, a student activist at Iran University of Science and Technology, who was charged with “propaganda against the system” in the Revolutionary Court of Bojnourd, has been upheld by the Second Branch of the North Khorasan Provincial Appeals Court.
#Ali_Gholami was detained by the Ministry of Intelligence last year for 15 days during the anniversary of “Women, Life, Freedom” protests, spending this period in solitary confinement at the intelligence detention center in Bojnourd. He was temporarily released on bail of 300 million Tomans.
Among the initial charges leveled against him was his activity on social media networks and continuous involvement in student associations. He is a former political secretary of the Ideal Society Association at Iran University of Science and Technology and has previously been suspended from the university for two terms.
