Ali Parvin, a pharmacy student at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and a member of that university’s Islamic Students Association, was arrested during the days of the 12-day war for publishing several critical Instagram stories.
A legal case has been filed against him on the charge of “spreading falsehoods.” This case is currently suspended on bail, effective for a period of six months to two years, and may be reopened should similar allegations recur.
