In recent weeks, following the protest action by Ahoo Daryayi, the Science and Research University has been placed under heavy security surveillance at the behest of intelligence agencies, creating an oppressive atmosphere on campus.
Exclusive reports received by AmirKabir Newsletter indicate that at the university entrance, students’ clothing—both male and female—is being scrutinized in an offensive manner. Daily occurrences of insults and humiliation regarding students’ attire have been reported, and the level of enforcement has sharply escalated.
Furthermore, security patrol vehicles, including pickup trucks and heavy motorcycles operated by university security and Basij forces, roam the campus, creating an intimidating atmosphere. These forces use loudspeakers to threaten students and prohibit groups of male and female students from gathering together.
Any form of protest, no matter how minor, is met with explicit threats. The oppression has reached such an extent that university security regularly inspects classrooms and cafeterias, harassing students under the pretext of dress code violations, often in the most offensive ways. It is reported that one such confrontation led to a clash between a professor and security personnel, resulting in the physical assault of the professor and several students.
