Khajeh Nasir Student Union Council: Meeting with the Head of Security is a Symbol of Humiliation
Following the release of the final attachment to the letter requesting a joint meeting between the Security Committee of the Student Union Council of Khajeh Nasir al-Din Tusi University of Technology and the university president (Dr. Taghirad), a wave of complaints against the university’s security office has spread widely among students. Repeated reports of harassment, systematic abuse, and hostile behavior by security personnel across various campuses indicate that the new university administration has not only failed to curb such conduct but has, in fact, intensified it.
A portion of the letter states: “The scope of authority for the personnel of the security institution and affiliated forces—entirely backed by intelligence and security services—has never been defined.”
Khajeh Nasir students, pointing to the hostile actions of Mohammad Shirbeigi (the despised head of the security office), have emphasized that his insulting, anti-student, and wholly biased behavior has rendered him illegitimate. His presence in his current position has only deepened the university’s crisis; holding a meeting with such an individual is a symbol of humiliation, and we will not accept it.
The Khajeh Nasir Student Union Council, while expressing solidarity with the university’s protesting body, calls on all students not to remain silent in the face of this degenerative trend, and to stand united and aware against authoritarian policies
