Mustafa Nili, Motahareh Gounei’s lawyer, announced the temporary release of his client after one month of detention. This former student activist was freed from prison a few hours ago on a bail set at two billion tomans.
Gounei has been held in the custody of the Ministry of Intelligence since 24 Khordad 1404 (14 June 2025) and was initially kept in solitary confinement in Ward 209 of Evin Prison. She was transferred to another facility following the attack on Evin.
