Sharif University Students Protest Over Cafeteria Food Quality

Editorial Board of Amirkabir NewsLetter

This afternoon, nearly 100 students at Sharif University of Technology gathered in protest against the poor quality of cafeteria food, particularly in the dormitories. The protest took place at the north side of the dining hall building and began at 12:30 PM, organized by the university’s Islamic Association.

Students held handwritten signs with slogans such as “Incompetent officials must resign,” “Each time, we only hear promises instead of improvements,” and “We have the right to eat without stress,” expressing strong dissatisfaction with the current conditions. Some participants viewed the serving of juice alongside today’s meal at the Sharif cafeteria as a tactic to distract public attention and downplay the significance of the protests.
