The Islamic Students’ Assembly of Amir Kabir University has issued an official statement warning about the ongoing national crisis. The statement calls for a return to rational governance, an end to the securitization of political life, and the restoration of Iran’s international relations.

The statement declares: “The fire of war has been extinguished, but its devastating effects still linger throughout society.” Highlighting the widening gap between the government and the people, the student organization identifies the expansion of interventionist bodies and the intrusion of military institutions into politics, the economy, and everyday life as key factors behind the country’s structural crises.

The statement criticizes the security apparatus for focusing on controlling society and repressing civil activists, describing this as a distraction from confronting real threats. It also warns of the depletion of human resources, the worsening economic hardship, and increasing international isolation.

The Amir Kabir Islamic Students’ Assembly stresses: “Change at the top levels of decision-making is an urgent and non-deferrable necessity,” urging policymakers not to fear those who care about the country and not to regard freedom of thought as a threat to national stability.

In closing, the statement addresses the ruling authorities: “The people are not a threat; they are the only remaining asset. Return to them—before it becomes impossible to return.”
