Summoning of Khajeh Nasir Student Council Members by a Security Agency

Following the release of documents related to the request for a joint meeting with the university president and critical statements against the performance of Khajeh Nasir University’s security office, a new wave of pressure has been launched against members of the student council.

Armin Asghari, Head of the Council’s Security Committee, has been summoned—first to the disciplinary committee and then to unidentified security agencies—based on a direct report by the central security office. In addition, MohammadMehdi Karimi, former Secretary-General of the Student Council, and Alireza JaafariAsar, the editor-in-chief of the council’s publication, have also been targeted by similar summonses and threats.

These summonses, carried out without legal procedure and through unofficial channels, are indirectly connected to the student council’s protest against the performance of #Mohammad_Shirbeygi, head of the university’s security office, and recent clashes between Hezbollah-affiliated forces and students. One student was severely injured during these confrontations.

The Khajeh Nasir Student Council has explicitly condemned these summonses, stating that the securitized treatment of student representatives lacks legal legitimacy and holds the responsible institutions accountable for the consequences.
