During the 12-day war between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel, the SIM card belonging to Dr. Ali Akbar Gorji, a professor of constitutional law at Shahid Beheshti University, was deactivated due to his critical posts on social media regarding the Islamic Republic’s militaristic policies.

Confirming the incident, Dr. Gorji stated: “Disconnecting a citizen’s phone line without a fair trial or a judicial ruling effectively amounts to depriving them of access to public services.”

He further added: “The security agency responsible for this action has set conditions for reactivating the confiscated SIM card, including signing a pledge, deleting critical content, and publishing supportive material.”
